Map produced by Andrew Couturier, Bird Studies Canada. The Maritimes Breeding Bird Atlas is a scientifically-designed five-year field project to assess the status, distribution and abundance of bird species that breed within the three Maritime Provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island). Data collection for the second Atlas ran from 2006 to 2010. The first Maritimes Breeding Bird Atlas was undertaken in 1986-1990.
