Population status

Vaux's Swift
(Chaetura vauxi)

The most reliable survey for Vaux’s Swift in Canada is the Breeding Bird Survey (BBS), which indicates a large decline in population size since 1973. However, the precision of the trend estimate is poor and this assessment is considered to be of low reliability. BBS results from throughout North America also show a moderate decline.
