The Black-throated Blue Warbler is well monitored by the Breeding Bird Survey, which provides good coverage of the breeding population in Canada. The Canadian population has shown a large, consistent increase since about 1970. This increase is seen throughout the species' range in Canada (all Bird Conservation Regions with reliable/adequate results are shown below) and throughout its continental range. The Black-throated Blue Warbler is at an acceptable level relative to its national population goal (see BBS Canada graph below).
