Lazuli Bunting
(Passerina amoena)

The Lazuli Bunting is best monitored by the Breeding Bird Survey, which indicates a consistent, long-term increase in numbers throughout its Canadian breeding range, but little overall change in the continental population relative to the early 1970s. The species is at an acceptable level relative to its national population goal (see Canada graph below).
