The Warbling Vireo is well monitored in Canada by the Breeding Bird Survey (BBS), which covers approximately half of the species' breeding population. BBS results for the species show an increasing trend such that the total Canadian population is estimated to have increased by some 47% since the early 1970s. This increase has been relatively steady throughout the survey period. At the regional level, trends vary among the Bird Conservation Regions that host the species, and for which there are reasonably reliable results (displayed below). The Warbling Vireo is at an acceptable level relative to its national population goal (see BBS Canada graph below).
