The Yellow-throated Vireo is best monitored in Canada by the Breeding Bird Survey, which provides good coverage of its breeding population. BBS results indicate the species has shown an increase of 44% in Canada since the early 1970s. The population has increased in most of the Bird Conservation Regions for which there are reasonably reliable results, especially in the Prairie Potholes. The continental population has also experienced a long-term increase. The Yellow-throated Vireo is at an acceptable level relative to its national population goal (see Canada graph below).
